JEE Advanced 2014 Syllabus Exam Dates and Eligibility

JEE Advanced 2014 is the second tier exam of the JEE. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced which is an all-India examination is scheduled to be conducted in eight IIT zones across the country on 25th May 2014 by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates are notified that registrations for JEE Advanced 2014 commences from May 4, 2014 and ends on May 9, 2014. Paper – I is to be held from 9 am – 12 pm, followed by paper – II to be taken from 2 pm – 5 pm on the same day.

JEE Main 2014 is tentatively scheduled to take place on 6 April, 2014. The official dates for JEE Main will soon be confirmed by CBSE. JEE Advanced 2014 would be governed by IIT Kharagpur on the behalf of CBSE. Candidates who clear the JEE Main 2014 only are eligible to attempt the JEE Advanced 2014.

To appear in JEE Advance Examination, clearing JEE Mains is compulsory along with attaining rank among 1,50,000 of merit list. However, only the candidates securing the top 1.5 lakh ranks in JEE Mains 2014 will be eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance exam which is led for admission in numerous engineering courses like B.Tech, B.E, IIT JEE B.Arch and B.Planning under the supervison of Ministry of Human Resource Development. JEE Advanced Pattern 2014:

  • Two Papers (three hours duration) in Hindi and English.
  • Each paper into three separate sections as Section I, Section II & Section III with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Exam topics: comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

IIT JEE Advanced 2014 Fee:

  • Candidates have to register online.
  • Male Candidates: Rs 2,000/-
  • SC/ST/ PWD Male Candidates- Rs 1,000/-
  • Female Candidates are exempted from exam fee
